A New Year! A Fresh Start!

Happy New Years

A New Year!  A fresh start!

That is what New Years has come to mean.  Whether or not you believe in creating resolutions as you begin a new year, there is a fundamental understanding that we are entering a new time frame. Birthdays have a similar effect at the individual level.  But New Years belongs to the entire world.

As we step over the threshold into 2013, let us remember we can make a difference.  The destiny of our communities, local and global, is in our collective hand.  This is our time and our generation. We have the strength, knowledge and experience to create life-affirming opportunities for all creatures living on this earth.   May we have the courage and resilience to move forward, to be an influence for good…together.

Happy New Year to all my dear friends – you made 2012 a year to remember!

    1. And what a jewel that is!! When I think of gratitude, I think of the friends and family that have supported me through difficult times. We need each other and I am grateful for our amazing blogger community. I am reminded of a quote by Albert Schweitzer: “At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” Your visits and comments are very much appreciated!

    1. A heartfelt thank you for your warm wishes. I especially liked your post with the insightful heading – “Not a goodbye, my dear 2012, but a thank you.” How well said! I share your thankfulness for the gift of time. Last year we all encountered transitions and decisions, moments of laughter and joy, times the required courage and determination. Now, we have moved forward into a new year that offers new possibilities. Happy New Year to you and yours…glad that we connected!!!

    1. Everyday is a fresh beginning with new possibilities. Over the years I have found optimism is more fun than pessimism. Embracing pessimism is like eating poison and hoping that everyone gets sick! I am celebrating that we connected and that optimism is on the menu for 2013. It is a meal that gives us the most nourishment.

I saw that you visited my blog yesterday. I’d like to ask you an important favor. If you didn’t have time, could you read my newest post and pass it along to everyone you can. Reblog it on your page, if you’re inclined to.
This is important for every woman in your life, including us, but mostly for the women in India. I would like this post to reach as many people as possible, so we can put pressure on the Indian government, by taking a small step, that could produce huge results. You will see my idea at the end of the post. If there’s anything you’d like to add, your wisdom is always welcome.
I wish you a wonderful new year of blessings and love.

thanks for remembering all of us that we are the architects of our world. Dante was one of the first poets who stressed this idea (if I remember it right).
All the best to you and with the 13 in this number it will be a year of the women (13 as being the a female number because of the 13 full moons per annum).

I don`t know if you are able to read German. There are quite some books full of knowledge about the so called “sacred mathematic” in German.
