Stopping Place in Life

The Water Bridge

“Of any stopping place in life, it is good to ask whether it will be a good place from which to go on as well as a good place to remain.”
Mary Catherine Bateson

Mary Catherine Bateson is a writer and cultural anthropologist. I just picked up her book, “Composing a Further Life,” which approaches the aging process with profound awareness that a second adulthood is waiting for us to explore with fresh abandonment.

Here goes, I don’t know if this is the place to comment on the above. I have to think about what she is saying for a bit. I don’t think I get the full picture of what she is saying, I’m sure you did as you read more of what she had to say. Anyway, sounds good, I will think about it some more.
